    Default virtual dj, windows to mac

    as i have now purchased a macbook i installed vdj as normal pluged my external hard drive in which includes the vdj database file, but wen i search i dont get anything, do i have to rescan the whole drive because the database file is different coming from windows? thanks

    Not ever done this but im guessing the short answer would be YES mate as its a different platform plus it will have a different drive letter etc

    The PC VDJ Database wont work on the mac as Macs dont use drive letters.

    Remove the VDJ database files from your hard drives and create new ones by adding all the files to VDJ database.

    The only way to transfer the VDJ datasbase from the PC is to use a XML editor and remove all the drive letters from the text file and use the same drive names.

    yep unless you can use the edit XML route.

    ii have just formatted an old 1tb drive to fat32 file system, and copied all the files from my current one to it including the vdj database file, plugged into the mac and it searches through all of them fine and has kept the bpms etcc, the only thing it doesnt read is the playlists
