Converting a 100w to 250w light
the light I have just got are 100 watt lamps.
They also do the same light as 250 watt.
The from a 100watt to 250watt is the same type / style and you can fit a 250 watt lamp in the 100watt plug as I have done this before.
Its like the acme scanner in them its just the transformer is different
So i wounder if i can just get a 240v to 24v transformer and it all works.
So where would i look for one

Because that initial post was REALLY hard to understand.

Yup, CPC or specialist order. Also bear in mind that you'd need to upgrade the cooling fans as a 250w lamp is going to kick out a lot more heat than 100w, and that is assuming that the case is even big enough to be able to safely dissipate that heat.
Where did you see the 250w version of the Magic Gobos? As far as I was aware the Puma/Falcon's were the 250w equivalents of the Magic Gobo's (but they had DMX as well).
By the way, the guy on eBay who was quoting £200/pair new was having a laugh: http://www.djstore.com/item/acmmagi01.htm (£139) and now you can pick up the new LED Gobo Flower for £150/pair.

I will have to have a look over the cpc site. Someone is selling the 240v to 12v on ebay for the acme scanners but not the 24v.

Edit: I would find the correct one for you, but generally I wouldn't advise anyone to do this kind of conversion unless they knew what they were doing electrically and had considered all of the other issues involved. And clearly, you don't and haven't.
There's a reason that even lamp shades come with a sticker which says "Max bulb = 60w" (HEAT!) and the same applies to disco lighting.

Yeh i was gonna get the volts meter out and check the amp and power of the transformer is my other 250w lights.
So you saying it need to be a 6VA.
for cooling i will just pop a bigger fan in side. 24v fan so it a suck the hot air out.
I cart seeing being much of a problem. Let see what happens.
I would like the transformers out the acme scans there do look better and cleaner to work with.
looking at the transformer i have listed it is a
6VA, 2 X 24V

do you not read the posts? 6Va = 6w. Perhaps you should get someone who actually knows what they are doing.
