Default 2 amps in same flight case

I carry 2 amps in a 4u case - I normally take one of the amps out ( the one I use) incase of over heating - Am I safe enough to leave them in the case ? save me valuable set up time

    cheers

Depends on the amps , if they have front to back ,( or the other way around ) , cooling , then no problem , I use 2 amps in one 4U case , never been any trouble with heat.

I also used to use 2 amps in a 4u case. but now i have gone 6u as i added a crossover and a eq. When i put mine on the stand i put it side way. So the back is not covered by the starcloth.

Youll be ok if All the amps Blow the cooling air the same way!
( most suck the air from the back of the amp over the output
devices and then blow it out the front )
I did have a problem once with 2 Big MATRIX amplifiers in a community
building that only shut down when they were being thrashed.
after a couple of visits i came back one night at 10 oclock during a gig!.
BINGO some pudding had assembed the amp with the fan mounted the wrong way so one amp pushed hot air out the front... which the other sucked IN the front and pushed out the back....which the first amp then sucked the very hot air in the back heated it more and pushed it out the front etc etc the 2 amps then got so hot they took it in turns to shut down!!

problem solved by reversing the fan in the defective amp!!!
    and billing accordingly

    Cheers

You could alway fit rear rackmounted cooling fans to help if you feel that the temprature is too hot.

Hmm, interesting thought. I may now have to stack mine differently, because I'm fairly sure that one sucks, and one blows!! I've never had a problem, but I may have to go for horizontal, rather than vertical.

Edit: I'm a big lad, and I couldn't carry two of my amps in one case!!!! Blimey!!
