One to bear in mind from the web page -

Will the conversion affect the servicing of the vehicle?
This depends on whether the engine of the vehicle is of direct or indirect injection design. With converted indirect injection vehicles there is no change to the usual servicing routine however it is a good precautionary move to have the components of the kit checked periodically to ensure that they are fully functional. Converted direct injection vehicles generally require a different service regime with regard to the engine’s lubricant. A plant oil based lubricant is used instead of the mineral lubricant and this needs to be changed at shorter intervals.

Basically it can also rot items out!
Uh..."You have been fined 99 bicycle clips, go directly to jail, do not collect 200 pounds... who's that naughty boy there?"

Sounds far too much hassle for the sake of a couple of quid saving, I think i'll stick to regular old diesel.

Straight veg oil will rot things but there is a simple chemical process to change it to bio diesel. Work out to be about 30p a liter tax free up to 2500L as stated previously. Well worth it if you can find the used oil to do it.

Couldn't agree more. Heard some time ago that supermarket fuel was lacking additives so you get less mpg.

Since then I only use Esso.
