    Default Mixer/Soundcard

Hi, I am currently using a MacBook to play mp3 files which is connected from out of the headphone socket to my Numark cd decks.
I am looking to improve sound quality.
What are my options regarding this?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Maya 44 and the Numark IO are popular choices. I have used the numark for a couple of years and found it "acceptable"

Yes I now the Maya is better, but in my very very humble opinion, the IO is way more than acceptable. It's also very easy to set up.

How do you use separate channels with that?

Well I'm guessing it involves front/rear, but it's only a guess.

After getting advice from this forum I purchased a Numark DJIO to play via my laptop through my mixer. It sounds so much better than using the laptop jack plug and I am really pleased with it. I did have to get a ground loop isolator device to stop background humming from the laptop but that only cost a few pounds and stopped the humming instantly.
