cant you already get it for Mac? I have a copy although I never use it.

I prefer Djay although I never use that either. I would do if I did not have Serato.

    Ah OK. Thats good then

I suppose they are giving it out willy nilly with hardware and its pirated all over the place the license is not worth anything anymore anyway. every cowboy DJ I have seen in a few different areas of the world has been using it.

Not just for the MAC - free for PC users too via the Virtual DJ Site:-

It's the 'Home' version "Designed for home DJs"

I have started to use the free version of VDJ and it does all that I could really want with my set up.
I assume that if and when I do any proper mobile gigs that I would have to have the professional version to make myself legal. What is the right thing to do hear, as all I want is to use the free version that I have and would prefer to pay any performance fees for just that.

You can use the free 'Home' version for personal use only! If you are performing at a payed or public gig then you have to have a copy of either "Basic" or "Professional". Basic is about £80, and professional £200.

I've given the free VDJ a go - didn't suit me - prefer DJay - but then most people prefer what they are familiar with.
