    I have found the ones deemed "undesirable" usually turn out to be brilliant gigs, Sod the danger money do it an have fun.

    Well I would ask them to expand on that comment before making any judgements but the fact still remains if I felt "uneasy" about a gig then I would decline it.

    There are whole areas of South Yorkshire that I won't touch. There are individual venues I won't touch and there are certain types of people I won't touch either. If a booking falls into these categories, I tell them the truth. I suppose I will miss out on the occasional decent booking but it's worked for 20 years so I wouldn't change it.

    Other than that, nice people get the same nice Asda price disco.

    I fall into the 'if you don't want to do the gig, don't quote for it' camp.

    And when I do quote I use same pricing criteria for every venue and person.
