If he doesn't know Charlie then take it to someone that does, sure you have a local shop in the Notts area that can have a look or send it off to be repaired?

So 10 days since it blew, 12 gigs this month and it's still not in for repair?
    I thought that would've been a priority.

I'm guessing Charlie still has use of the borrowed subs?

Well this weekend it hasn't been necessary but it would be nice to have it back before the weddings kick in. I do have large subs that I can borrow if required.

I dont want to take it to DFB, pay them £xxx to tell me it doesn't work or the mother board has died and then have to buy a new one - if that makes sense? I bought it second hand for £350 - is it time to say goodbye?

Charlie, did you read what Julian posted? If it's good kit, it's probably not BER. (Beyond Economical Repair. ) Why not ring DFB, and ask if they can fit a new amp module, since you think it's dead? If they say they's rather sell you a new one, then ask elsewhere.

Or Charlie could pay your train fare down to Nottingham to mend it for him.

I have the cash ready to go if someone is selling one? My current sub has died - confirmed by a professional.
