Default Who do you bank with?

I'm currently with Santander and hate them, terrible customer service IMO. Had problems with them which I wont go into now.

So I'm changing bank, who do you lot bank with? (personal banking) and how do you find their customer service?

    Thanks a lot

To be fair, they're all as pony as each other.

I've had Barclays, Halifax, Santander and had problems with all of them.

Don't close your account until you've passed the credit checks AND had everythibg through. On another forum I go on someone opened an account, passed the credit check then was refused an account!

    Im with the Halifax,
completely average but as ive 3 accounts that give me 5 pounds each month just for depositing 1000 pounds into them.
So firstly 1000 is transfered into account 1 from account 3
sits there 5 days then moves into account 2, sits there for 5 days
they moves to account 3 sits there till next months auto cycle repeats.
Result? is your 15 pounds richer every month free!
ones my Buisiness account too so DAVESOUNDS gets a 60 quid a year for the privelidge of letting em be my bank...sounds fair eh?
Its all set up automatically and has been fine over 7 years since i set it up
Thats a profit of 180 for nothing.
    cheers

LloydsTSB - though more through complacency and laziness than a preference for their products and services

In all seriousness though, in the 24yrs I've been with them they've never done anything to irritate me to the point where I've thought "there's got to be better than this"

I'm with Lloyd's TSB They're OK but the big ones are much of a muchness I think.
I have only heard good things about the Co-Op but have no personal experience of them.
