Ahhhh, Outlook help!
I've just set up my outlook on my new computer and it's not saving any of my emails!
I've lost 15 already. Outlook is still running on my old computer fine but it's not saving a thing on my new laptop. When I re-start my computer and log back on, they're gone!
I've already lost a booking today - I met a couple a week ago and apparently they have been emailing me and I 'couldn't be bothered to reply'
Emails are 90% of my business and I've done something drastically wrong.
Is anybody here a mini expert or maybe give me a little guidance?
It'll probably be easier to do over the phone - is anybody able to help at a time that suits them?
A bottle of your favorite plonk/spirit whatever will be sent the next day. I'm pretty desperate.
Cheers in advance.

Not an Outlook expert but:
Are your emails not saved on the server as outlook is just a forwarded email if you know what I mean.
I would have thought you'd be able to access your webmail direct

I can access my web mail direct - are all my emails saved on this? I thought they are saved in my documents?

When you say they are gone, what do you mean?
Gone from where?
Mails will remain on the sever if you set the settings in outlook not to delete, or to only delete after xx days.
However regardless of this they should still be in your inbox in outlook unless you delete them.
A little more info would help...

They are just going.
Right, I didn't have this last time (on my old laptop) but now I've got two sets of inbox's, sent items, drafts etc
One says - Outlook data file and the other [email protected]
The inbox's etc in the outlook data file are empty but there are a couple of recent emails in the info one.
Maybe because I have the outlook connected to two computers it's deleting the emails of this one and keeping it on my old computer?
Is there a setting I can change?

If you are downloading to a PC then the mail will be on that PC and taken off the server unless you set outlook not to.
If you want to have 2 inboxes on 2 diff machines that are the same, then go into outlook settings-
Tools
Account Settings- Change
More Settings- Advanced
Tick "leave a copy on the server" and then check "remove from server after xx days"
If you dont do the last bit your server will simply fill up.
Try 5 or 6 days initially and see if that works for you.

Ah. That's a bugger! Is it not something you can add in?
