Following on from this thread earlier this year, and with a few more of us having purchased a Denon MC6000, I would be interested to know what your opinions/choices are of the various flight cases available.
1. Which one do you use
2. Do you have the 'sliding tray' for the laptop or not
3. If not, where do you put your laptop, and why (i.e. why don't you use the 'sliding tray')

I use the swan flight case with the sliding tray I did cut of about 50mm of the back of the tray I find the tray too big and made up two small angled brackets these screw into two rack mounting nuts that sit just above the mixer and the tray then sits on these this way my laptop sits nice and tight to the mixer and reduces the overhang

No. I did initially buy the Swanflight case with the sliding tray but didn't get on with it (see below).

My laptop goes on the inverted case lid just to the left of the MC6000. I found with the case with the sliding tray that was bought first didn't sit right on my DSB ie: it was too wide for the shelf and there was a good chance of the whole thing getting knocked off. Also I found that the laptop was now visible above the booth and that I was over stretching to reach the keyboard.
Just found a pic to illustrate it for you. The netbook now sits at more of an angle and you'll also probably work out that I'm left handed

Here's mine. The netbook has velcro on the bottom and so does the 1U blanking plate and it's been fine since April, but decided to fall off last night! Boo!
Mine is the Swan with laptop shelf, but without the shelf if you see what I mean!

Darren,
Am I right in saying that, instead of the laptop shelf, you have a blanking plate and the 'netbook' is velcrosed into place on that?

Yep, though as I said, it did fall off last night. I just need to re-adjust the velcro etc
Interesting concept, I like that
In the photo it appears that the netbook is raised slightly above the MC6000; is this my eyes or is there a "cunning plan" there ?

Swanflight Case - you can also fit your wireless mic receiver in the box
No Slider - too bulky
Crane Laptop stand - plenty of adjustment on angles etc.
