i bought a regular trolley from aldi a couple of years back and it broke quite easily. its still usable but when extended the handle doesnt click into place and it can move up and down a bit. My rockandroller is virtually indestructible though!

So much depends on what you want to put on it, where you want to wheel it ( grass or hard surfaces ) and what you want to spend.

Some of the cheaper items can be unsuited to dragging heavy loads across rough ground, and high thresholds.

Platform trucks with hinges and locking mechanisms will deform if pulled hard with heavy loads aboard. Fixed handles are superior.

Sack Truck: As Darren says, pneumatics all the way. The toe plate folds on this one.

IMO the Rock'n'Roller on ebay at a few pence over £76 delivered is a great option. It is strong, hard wearing, Pneumatic tyres and extendable. Suitable over grass as well, it is worth paying that bit more to get something that will not let you down. I haven't got one but then never needed one as we carry the gear.

Good to have the option to use it as either a platform type trolley or as an upright trolley.

Money well spent but make sure you keep the tyres inflated

I had a feeling you might have been. I know where you can get pneumatic tyred castors for such an animal, ( self build/conversion, obviously ) but to my eternal shame, I can't give a link to a ready made one.

A very handy piece of kit, I had the equivalent one with small rubber wheels. (The one above yours. )

One of these days, I'm going to put pneumatics under the one I have now, the Platform Trolley.
