    i leave a message on answer machine to send any enquirys to my email address, which i check every other day while away.

    only takes 10 minutes, and can result in bookings.

    Last time i was away, i took 3 bookings, worth 10 minutes id say.

    Same here last year.

    Just got back from Spain and did an hour or so a day and gained a few bookings, but also delt with current bookings etc. If your partner or so gets annoyed just remind them that your self employed and thats the way it is

    All my enquiries are by email however as I never answer my phone.

    train someone to answer the emails and calls properly like another DJ or even better a female friend etc. all they need to know is the basic information and availability
