Its always better to avoid using additional connectors if you can but its no different to feeding an unbalanced signal into an amplifier and then onward from the parallel connected loop through socket on that, you are just connecting them together at a different point. The output of the mixer will be low impedance and the inputs to the amps relatively high so no problem driving them.
Another option is to make a custom cable with three connectors on to daisy chain the amps together....
PHONO....cable.....AMP1_CONNECTOR...cable....AMP2_ CONNECTOR
