    Default Any DMXperts on today?

My client wants all blue and pink for his disco(don't ask).Normally I have my Impossibled on a CA-8 but am running through DMX. I have them on 65 and 81 yet the odd thing is that the 2nd one doesn't respond the same faders on the dmx board.
I have them both on 4 channel so I'm a bit baffled. Any thoughts?

Do you mean the second one doesn't respond in the same way to the same fader settings on the DMX board? With them on separate DMX channels you'll have independent control of each one so you should have two sets of faders controlling them (e.g. faders 1-4 controlling the first one and faders 5-8 controlling the second?)

    Is that what you're seeing?

Ahh. Pardon my ignorance! I thought that fixture 2 would be on the same place on the board eg. If fixture 1 is 1/4 on the sliders fixture 2 would be the same if only it was selected. I take it that's not the case!

It does depend on your board, but generally for basic boards, the sliders map directly to DMX channels, so if your fixtures are on different DMX channels, then they'll be on different sliders

If you always want the two fixtures to do the same thing then just configure them to the same address (and you can usually then invert pan on one of the fixtures so that they always move in opposing directions).

You need both units DMX address to be the same ie 1. That way they should work off the same faders doing the same thing. If they don't, something is wrong with one of the units.
