    Default DJ booth ideas needed

I'm making a wider version of my booth, and wondered if anyone has any ideas about covering materials or ways to give the front some character. I'm considering having a perspex panel on the front and projecting video onto it from behind with a short throw projector, or putting a 42" screen in it, but it might be more hassle than it's worth!

Here's some pics of the old one, at the moment it's covered with speaker carpet.

TBH it looks great at the moment. But i wouldnt be too keen on putting a TV in there. Although it would be great for displaying video etc, surely the weight would be immense???

The perspex panel sound like a much better idea in my view, with some LED colour changers behind??

To be perfectlly honest I always think a pro booth is better, either a DSB pro or S+H or even an ultimax with their front curtain or a starcloth or video curtain.

You can always mount a flat screen on your overhead or a pair on tripods or arms off your lighting poles each side.

Generally, I agree...however, if memory serves me right, a great deal of Tims work is student based (Tim...?) and I think his own design works very very well for that market

I would honestly avoid starcloth type booths. Not wanting to offend anybody IMO I feel they scream cheesy mobile Dj! Plain black or as you said some kind of projection would look great!

    Yes it's all student stuff.

The only problem with the rear projection idea is that the perspex would have to be white, leaving it looking a bit like a light screen With the plasma or LCD idea, I could make it so it slots in place, so it doesn't make the booth too heavy.

How many on here can claim that they need to get their booth PAT tested ?
