My usual haunt, upmarket country pub turned resaurant 9pm start having been fed. 1am or 2am finish, middle aged crowd. hate new year myself find it depressing, but full of the joys of the season for the guests. pay?, well lets just say i'm happy.................................!!

I'm hosting and singing + disco in a nice but middle-of-the-market golf club just outside Cardiff.

In retrospect, I've majorly undercharged to bag it BUT it's a fairly easy night - not singing until coffee @ 9.30/10pm: just background music until then, 40-50+ age group so no brain surgery for mixing disco between& after, so it'll be "putzi" i recon.

I even get Mrs JonnyBoy to be my "glamorous assistant" this year. ;-)

Local Indian Restaurant for me. Owner is a good friend. He is a great fan of Motown & Northern Soul, so that makes me very happy.

Payment is being made in Chicken Tikka and Kingfisher Beer over the next few weeks, together with a lift there and back from the teetotal owner.

It's just a small-ish room, 80 people at most, so 10 inch speakers and a T bar of scanners is all that's needed. There's a bit of space for dancing after eating. Hopefully it will be a great night.
