Default UHF mic only wanted - 858.200 MHz

I have a dual set of AKG mics and i dropped one last night, so need a replacement UHF mic (any half decent one).

I am assuming this will work if at the same frequency

alternatively another dual set of the same would be fine too.

I do like my AKG's so will get another set.

I think AKG are in Godalming (cattershall lane) give them a call. But you are very unlikely to get that frequency as that is part of the new mobile broadband (when it comes in), as Ofcom would have informed you, as it's a licensed frequency.

So youtube footage will be coming through when announcing speeches then

What is the new un-licenced frequency then. I have never really looked into it.

Channel 69 is being used elsewhere, so TV channel 38 (606-614MHz) has been officially announced by Ofcom as the replacement for TV channel 69 (854-862MHz).

Basically, anything 863-865Mhz is OK and the new channel 38 replaces 69 but you will need a licence for channel 38.

I have a dual set of AKG mics I may part with as a i barely use them. After £125 delivered if you are interested. Or £130 if you want it on next day.
I have the twin HT 40 mics with the twin channel UHF reciever. Its about 4-5 months old and still on original battery ( cant fault 1 aa with 30 hours life can you)
When the world ends , ill probably have to clean up the mess.

So my one is not OK then? What will this mean - will I have mobile conversations over the mic, or just need a license?

Interesting. I may take you up on that.

I am also looking at the mini one as its £85 and the box is smaller. I generally only use one mic.

If I need two I have the other one on the dual set. Will let you know.
