I fear you may struggle. The price of hard drives is only now beginning to drop. One internal drive I bought a while ago for below £50 is now £100.

Let us hope that others have found bargains.

    Close but no cigar.

I bought one in Asda before Christmas Darren. It's a Western Digital USB3.00 and it was £51.99 if I remember correctly?

I was just about to post the link and it seems that they aren't selling Western Digital ones anymore and online they are more than double the price?
    Strange.

    Strange.
Not strange, Gary. Dave has given the reason above, and Crazy K gave it ages ago.

I bought a small Toshiba 1Tb drive a couple of weeks back from PC World in Boston (Lincs), it's USB2 and 3 compatible. Cost was £79 IIRC.

I got a Maxtor one for £54 from Argos last year. I went to buy another just after Christmas and the best price I found was about £105. I'm waiting!!!

£75 is cheapest I've found so far on ebuyer.com

Can I just ask Daz, why 1TB? You must have a lot of music (or is it for video)

You could always try your luck on ebay
