    It's to backup the new photo booth PC. Actually, it doesn't have to be 1Tb, 640 or 750 will do, but I thought the prices would probably be similar.

    I had a 500gb Buffalo it had a WD Drive in it!
    No issue with it!

    Best I can find is £67.80 for 500Gb or £82.92 for 1Tb Iomega external drive.

    Thought it might be cheaper to get separate drive and enclosure, but hardly any difference.

    The prices on HDD will come down eventually, but not until the industry has milked every last penny out of us all!

    Does it need to be a 3.5" powered drive, or can it be a 2.5" portable drive?

    Doesn't matter - it's only to backup a PC.
