    Default Irish Gypsy Songs?

Doing a wedding in a pub this Thursday for 200+ Irish Gypsies.
Gonna be a messy one methinks. Music ideas from anyone who would really know what makes this kind of crowd tick?

I just found out from the pub who they are. The bloke who booked was deliberately secretive about it all. He's had to change venue twice which I thought was a bit strange but now it's starting to make sense! Now I know, I want to be a bit more prepared!!

Judging from the several TV shows that I have seen recently, they like modern R&B and pop. The men appear not to dance at all, so work on the ladies.

Trouble is you can't always believe what you see on TV. I know they're not from another planet so will be playing usual stuff but this is running from 3pm till 1am (yes 10 hours!!)so will need to stretch out a bit. Was hoping to find someone with direct experience to help when it gets very late and they're very drunk and likely a tad bolshy!

Here's a few I've played for various Irish guests at parties - but to be honest they could ask for anything from Elvis to Dubstep, as mixed music tastes as anyone else in my experience, once had an ancient traveller man in my local travellers pub who always asked me for T Rex!

And if you do a search I'm sure there's a few threads with more Irish tunes on them.
