Default Active 712's plus a numark professional cd mixing console ?

Anyone know if the powered active RCF 712 speakers are okay with the Numark mixer please? Getting a little confused on the powered part. The link for the mixer: http://www.numark.com/product/cdmix2

Thanks! I wasn't sure if I read somewhere that powered items mustn't be connected to the powered speakers otherwise it could damage the speakers?

Chris, please before you ask any more questions on equipment, for the sake of everyone's sanity (& with no offence intended)

It isn't powered in the sense you're talking about.

Of course it has a power lead going to it, it needs electrickery to work.

When we refer to powered speakers / mixers etc it refers to the fact that they have amplification built in. CDMix units do not, you still need to amplify the sound further down the chain.

    http://www.numark.com/images/product...startguide.pdf

If you look on page 2 it will show you the configuration for setting this up. (the external CD players / turntables being where your laptop / soundcard should be & the amp being the amp in your speakers. Notice they don't show any speakers in the diagram other than the monitors? )

For future reference, the chain should go:

Playout source > Mixer > Amp > Speakers
    or
Playout source > Mixer > Powered Speakers
