We have a large wedding in a marquee at St Mawes Castle tonight, quite an expensive gig and an expensive event all round. Although we have been given an exstensive playlist and told not to take requests, we have to play some horar, so that should be interesting I expect there will be people high in the air in their chairs and were setting up video screens for a 2-3 minutes of video footage of the bride doing a TV interview when she was younger, it's just pitty they didn't want us to keep the screens in place do the whole event as a video disco.

But to be honest I think it's going to be a really really good gig still.

Default I can resist anything except temptation.

Brothers and Sisters, join hands and pray for me! Like I said, I'm a mere two hundred yards from my front door, playing in a barn with a band as well, so since it's a 50th birthday for a mate, should be great fun, and an absolute doddle.

Now here's the rub. Once upon a time, I was noted for "Liking a drink" shall we say. So are mine hosts. Guesss what. We've got a real ale bar, with two beers from one of the finest microbreweries in Yorkshire. That I could cope with.

All drinks are £1 a pint. That's twisting the knife, but I think I could cope by merely having just the one.

So the gear's set up already, and while I'm there rigging up, the wife of the birthday boy says: " You do like Wold Gold don't you? ( Well yeah, I do cos it's lovely ) You'll notice it's £1 a pint, but you're not paying that. Oh no. Yours is free!! "

I've got eight bottles of alcohol free Cobra, but somehow I think my resolve to stay ( virtually ) teetotal may be sorely tested, hence my request for you to all join hands and pray for me.

Do we now follow up with what we did this weekend?

This is what we did, sorry about the recordings sound, we haven't used this Canon camera before and the audio it records gives very missleading results, quite bizarre I would guess it's been designed to try and enhance voices and eliminate other sounds.

Well technically, a logical place for that would be "Good Gig, Bad Gig", and piccies of them in the Gallery, but I
don't see putting your experiences in here as a matter worthy of any censure. Glad you had a good one.

No gigs on for a change so gives me a chance to complete my main rack case build and possibly even order some more lighting
