Default Kam laser fscan 40 - not working

Hi, I am hoping that one of you gurus may be able to lend me some advice.

I have a Kam laser fscan 40, which has been working fine up until today.

For some reason it is just stuck on a single pattern and not operating properly in the sound to light mode.

I have the the dips set as below:-
All dips are off except for dip 10 - this is how it says to switch on the sound to light mode in the manual.

I don't think I have knocked it at all and it is stored in a case so I can't see why it has gone wrong.

Can anyone give me any advice before I send for repair, just in case it is something silly.

    Many Thanks

    Nathan

This might seem obvious, but has the mic sensitivity knob been turned up high enough?

Yeah unfortunately, I have tried it at min, max and in the middle, but no difference - thanks though this is the kind of thing I am hoping it could be.

Perhaps the solder/wire has come loose on the on board mic? It's worth opening it up and having a little look.

I had a similar problem with this laser a while back.
    Could be a broken motor.
Check if its under warranty before you open it up.

I think it may be the same for me as there is a mirror inside that looks like it should be moving, but isn't.

Did you get the motor fixed?

In my case it was under warranty and I got it replaced with a different product.
Sorry for not being much help.
Hopefully someone on here will have a better idea on fixing it.

I might be lucky as I purchased extended cover when I bought it :-)
