    Default lag on posting

Sure this is my end , so any ideas on this.....

When I reply ,or make a new topic/post , on the bottom left hand side of my screen is says "waiting for mobilediscodirectory" , but thats as far as it goes , however if I refresh the page ( firefox 13.0.1 ) , the post appears as normal , this is the reason for a double post I made today (17/07/2012)

    Cheers

    Just to add.
if I do a quick reply/post , no problem , it`s only when I am typing a longer post , or thinking about a reply ( started but not finished) seems anything over two minutes , I have a problem.

    Yep.

As Daryll said, it's more noticeable when I've typed in a longer post. In fact, I've gotten to the point now where I copy my longer posts and paste them to the clipboard before clicking submit just in case it times out and I lose what I've typed.

However, a quick refresh seems to show work but I can see how this might result in a double post. Other forums I'm on (and maybe this one - I',m not sure!) don't allow you to post twice in the same minute which prevents the double post problem.

It may not be at your end. We are experiencing some niggling issues with our server recently. We'll be moving over to a new server and doing some essential maintenance in the near future. Hopefully this will resolve all the forum issues people are having.
