    Default Forum Downtime

We'll be moving the directory and forum to a new server and doing some essential maintenance in the near future. This will no doubt result in the forum and directory being offline for a short time.

We'll do our best to keep you updated as to when this will occur.

Most of us could use the foum's FB group during any downtime.

Just a heads up that work will be starting tomorrow morning with a full backup of the forum being made. To ensure nothing gets mucked up whilst this is happening, the forum will be down, and it is likely to take a few hours due to the size of the database.

The more observant of you will have noticed that the planned down-time hasn't happened yet. This is due to 3rd parties not providing us with the information they were supposed to!

So, a bit delayed, but it will be happening at some point.

Anything posted now wont be on the forum when we change over as we have took a copy of the database to use on the new server.

Update: Latest information is that we may get away without having to take the forum off-line at all.

    Exclamation

The more observant of you will have noticed that we didn't have the expected downtime. However, the big switch over should hopefully be happening today, so the forum may disappear this afternoon.

Because it takes so long to download / upload, the last backup of the database is a few days old, so we will loose several days posts when we do switch over.
