Disco Dude!
Wireless Mic
Hi folks,
Looking for a recommendation for a good quality wireless microphone. Its main use for me will be part of a small system for speeches at marquee weddings so as its being used by the general public who seem rather keen to hold it at their waist it appears needs to be super fantastic at not picking up background noise and the such.
No real budget in mind, I'm after a quality mic.

Myrecommendation would be a Line6 XD-V30 or XD-V35 Digital Wireless Microphone...

If you are looking for good quality gor for a sennheiser like http://www.sennheiser.co.uk/uk/home_...-100-g3_021105
These are what most hire companies would stock. When you purchase becareful what frequency you go for Channel 70 ( 863-865MHz ) as these are licence free channel 38 you need to pay for.

To add the Line6 does not need a license and is not affected by the digital switch over as it does not use VHF or UHF bands
Also if you were to go for the XD-V55 you have this capability >>
The XD-V55 also gains access to 10 different microphone types, 9 of which are based on the world's most popular live perfomance microphones. Including the Shure SM58, Shure Beta 58A, Sennheiser e835, Audio-Technica AE4100, Electro-Voice N/D767a, and more.
Thank you

I use boom stands when I can for speeches. Helps overcome some of those issues.
