    Default Wireless Mic

    Hi folks,

Looking for a recommendation for a good quality wireless microphone. Its main use for me will be part of a small system for speeches at marquee weddings so as its being used by the general public who seem rather keen to hold it at their waist it appears needs to be super fantastic at not picking up background noise and the such.

No real budget in mind, I'm after a quality mic.

If you are looking for good quality gor for a sennheiser like http://www.sennheiser.co.uk/uk/home_...-100-g3_021105

These are what most hire companies would stock. When you purchase becareful what frequency you go for Channel 70 ( 863-865MHz ) as these are licence free channel 38 you need to pay for.

    Yes I know the problem--

PLEASE SPEAK VERY CLOSE TO THE MICROPHONE DONT LET IT FAR FROM YOUR MOUTH WHEN SPEAKING.

And of course they immediately let it wander miles away because of stage fright and nerves.

Then everyone blames the PA, the mike and the speakers.

Turn it up==yeah here comes the feedback.

Prsonally I would use those words in bold above every time you arrange a hire then your choice of mike is simple and you have a wide choice.

No microphone I know will just pick up the user and nothing else if they cant use it properly.

Im a JTS Fan personally, but Shure and Sennheiser are mikes I use also from time to time and are excellent.

So its really how much you want to spend--the three above are in ascending order of cost.

As its to be used by the world and his wife I might be tempted to suggest
KAM which will be cheaper and still pretty good--- because its going to get dropped---guaranteed.

To add the Line6 does not need a license and is not affected by the digital switch over as it does not use VHF or UHF bands

Also if you were to go for the XD-V55 you have this capability >>

The XD-V55 also gains access to 10 different microphone types, 9 of which are based on the world's most popular live perfomance microphones. Including the Shure SM58, Shure Beta 58A, Sennheiser e835, Audio-Technica AE4100, Electro-Voice N/D767a, and more.
    Thank you

I use boom stands when I can for speeches. Helps overcome some of those issues.
