    Default Equinox Foldable DJ Screen

    Hi,

I am considering ditching my star cloth in favor of a Equinox Foldable DJ Screen.

Main reason being is to protect my mixer etc from drinks when people get to close. With my stand at the moment people can lean over and I am forever worried about them spilling there drink. With this screen I was hoping I could have it a foot or so in front of stand, but my concerns are,

    1) does it look cheap in the daylight
    2) is it flimsy and easily knocked over

    Any help would be appreciated.

It is brilliant IMO, although finding the holes is a pain when putting it together. I ended up gaffer taping two of the sections (so it comes in two pieces). bought a bike bag which fits it perfectly.

i have had an excellent response from every wedding venue manager since buying it which says it all, so definitely not cheap. Even the wedding planner at my main venue came up in the ceremony and said "Mr Toby, this looks much better, more wedding like" (she is French).

worth its weight in gold - I would say the best value for money product I bought this year!!! Look nice and hides all the wires and protects your kit.

Had mine about 4months now, took a while to get use to, but love it now. Agree with toby about finding holes. It can look a bit see through when you are in front of a window in the day time, but not that this happens that much.

Toby, where did you get the bag from, sounds like a plan!

It was something like this - check dimensions but they are perfect and can fit two stands.

As per the joints just gaffer tape them to make a hinge - only have to line up one then.

Yeah I just leave them together, may get the hinges welded. Thanks for the link Toby.

    Thanks for your help.

Decided to try one, problem is finding someone who has them in stock.

Lining up the hinges is the hardest part of putting it up.

Simple solution would've been to make one pin slightly longer so you can get it in the hole and then still be able to position the other one, rather than having to line them both up simultaneously.

Been thinking of shortening the top (or bottom) pins myself, just a few mm's should do it.

Good thinking that man. I get so frustrated trying to line mine up that I feel like kicking the thing in, sometimes

I'll be doing this also I think.

I love my screen, I tend to use 3 for most events, 4 for large events and only 2 for tight spaces.
