Default Video Event logos - Halloween and others?

    Hi,

I've got a few gigs coming up over the Halloween period and I was considering buying a Chauvet Gobo Zoom to project a Halloween pumpkin face and a message onto wall behind me for these events (and then bring it out again for Xmas and other special events...)

Then I realised that I've got Karaoke for one of these gigs and I've already invested in a DLP projector, so I will probably be able to get a better effect using that to project video, rather than using a simple rotating Gobo.

The question is, where can you go to get visuals like that?

I guess I'm after something like this... Any ideas?

Also, there are a few classic Halloween tracks that I would consider worth buying the Video's for as they're guaranteed to get played like Thriller and Ghostbusters (I'm not going down the VJ route wholesale). Where is the best place to go to download LEGAL copies of videos?

    Julian

P.S. I noticed last month that Mastermix are starting with resources for VJ's - but so far they're just doing a single pack of 100 tracks for £159.00 (and it's all chart hits from the last 3-4yrs).

The one I linked to is from a UK site and is £15...not a fortune really.

True and it does look good, but this is a huge collection of full blown music videos and logos, fx, megamixes, mashups, etc at around 25p/track - all available for instant download.

My only concern with the DVD is that I'm reliant on Royal Mail to get it here for the weekend

Just a heads up, but the VJ Street website is an Illegal operation and not licenced for UK / European use at all and especially not for commercial use.

I would stick to using Amazon or the other site mentioned above or if you require great Halloween themed videos then speak to David Brown at Promo Only UK.

    Thanks

Common sense and the fact that it is not licensed in the UK under MCPS, PRS, BPI , VPL or similar bodies

Ta, I did wonder, based on the old saying "If it's too good to be true...." it probably is

This is where I get stuck. Where can you get music videos to download or Buy (for commercial use) on Amazon, or any of the other usual suspects?

Hmm, again, no download option and I can't see anything obvious for Halloween on their website. £40 per DVD seems quite reasonable though given that they have 35 tracks each, I'll bear them in mind for the future.

    Thanks for the suggestions,

I'd go with the Phil Bearman graphics as linked to by Daz in Post #2.

£15 is for the physical DVD but, if you have a decent download speed on your internet connection, the direct download option is only £10. And it's fully licensed to use here so you'd be safe.

    EDIT:

Oops! Looks like the Halloween one is DVD-only - there's no direct download option. Apologies!!
