    Default NYE 2012

I know we do this almost every year, but each year people come up with different answers...

What are you using this year

    1. For the countdown / Big Ben / Auld Lang Syne
    2. Immediately after

    1) A small dram of Whisky
    2) then straight to bed.

Sorry for taking this off topic from the get-go, lol.

I have a mashup of the Chimes, then Noddy Holder shouting 'Happy New Year', then ALS which starts slow and into a fast version. After that I normally follow with a massive track which historically has been BEP - I gotta feeling, but I will change it this year so looking for suggestions. I might go with Fun. - We are Young ...

same as the last 30 odd years…..chimes and big ben followed by old lang syne (used to do it on vinyl back in the day)now i think it's off mastermix or may have been a party album i've had for a long time can't honestly remember who's version.

following Old lang syne we have a 10-15 min break, then play till one depending on the crowd could be dancey stuff followed by a couple of slow ones or could just be 45mins of easy stuff.

Naff all. The venue switches the telly on, and I have a five minute rest. ( Actually, I end up fighting the telly, cos the bar staff are too busy to switch it off at the appropriate moment. ) It never works well, but that's what they like to do, so I let them get on with it.

I'll be using the Phil Bearman NYE countdown visuals again as it went down really well last year. Then it could be New York New York like last year or, the venue this year like Michael Jackson so it could be an MJ choice. To be fair, it really depends on the crowd and what they are reacting to during the evening.

Nothing set in stone, but given the venue and clientele, it will be either Stevie Wonder - Signed Sealed or The Beatles or Wish you were here by Pink Floyd.
