easy website design for an imbecile
Hey, just a quick question.... I'd like to make a website, nothing flashy just want a presence on the 'net, however I'm hopeless with computers but I've seen quite a few sites promising 'make a site in minutes for just two pounds a month' etc etc, any recommendations?

If you want to have a go with drag and drop web design, this company provides a pretty good range of tools, dead easy site design, and loads more besides but they're often overlooked by magazines when reviewing these kinds of services. To me, it's really good, though!

This is my current work in progress:

It's nowhere near finished yet but it has been really easy, so far, to put together! Bear in mind, this is purely an experiment and I'm not looking for website feedback (just yet, anyway! )

I agree with the other comments. Hire a professional. In many cases your website will be your 'shop window', and a potential clients first impression of you and your business. You only get one chance to make a good first impression.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to learn how to make a website, however, my advice would be to do the practicing on a personal webpage and not a business one.
Good luck.
