Hi poeple, hope you are all well.

One of the sliding faders on my cd player/ mixer is giving of a fuzzy sound and i woundered if i could just swap it over for one of the other faders that i dont use.
its a four chanel mixer and the sliding faders look the same.

    Many thanks

So many possible answers to this one. First off, can you route whatever you normally feed this with to another fader? That would help to identify the problem area.

Also, knowing the piece of kit would help.

Do you mean actually remove the whole fader set up and swap them? e.g. fader 1 is fuzzy, unscrew and remove it, put fader 4 in its place, put fader 1 in fader 4s place.

It would be much easier just to re-route it to a fader that's working fine. If it's a 4 channel mixer and they have the same controls, chances are you'll have the same inputs for each channel.

It might also just need a spray of mixer cleaner...
