Not sure why! It's from a Business Newsletter I get regularly, and I've looked at it, and numerous other people I know have looked at it, and no-one else has reported any issues!

In case anyone is concerned, it's only a short article, so here it is reproduced in full:-

More than three million homeworkers are potentially operating illegally, Axa Business Insurance has warned.

There are around 5.4 million homeworkers in the UK and 16 per cent (over 850,000) of those employ one or more people. Yet just three per cent (approximately 150,000) have employer’s liability insurance. This insurance is mandatory even if homeworkers only have one staff member on their books.

In addition, just 14 per cent, of homeworkers who were quizzed said that they have business car insurance, despite 66 per cent use their vehicles for business purposes.

Darrell Sansom, managing director of Axa Business Insurance, said, “The number of people working from home has grown by over 20 per cent in the last ten years or so but our research shows that these people take a more relaxed view on insurance than those working from business premises.”

He suggested that most homeworkers break the law unintentionally, but it is vital that they check what cover they need in order to meet legal requirements.

“We would also strongly recommend that people consider what other cover they need to protect what is, in many cases, their livelihoods,” he added.

Homeworkers who meet clients in their home, or those who visit customer premises, may want to think about public liability insurance to protect against any accidents.

People should also inform their home contents provider if they are working from home or they could risk invalidating their policy

OK here with Avast Anti Virus. Maybe one of the ads triggered it.

If anyone is looking for an insurance company who will insure a home business I can highly recommend 'Ecclesiastical' Insurance. My wife runs a Clinic annexed to our property and we've insured with them for years. We had a claim last year for property damage which was handled very swiftly and settled without any fuss or bother. It's actually getting quite difficult to find insurance companies that give decent cover for home businesses these days.

ESET AntiVirus detected a JS/Kryptik.AEU trojan from 129.121.233.126 when I clicked on it.

That's what I thought, probably an ad as I've since returned and it was OK. But I'd say with 99% certainty that one of the ads in their rotation contains a virus, might be worth letting them know...

    Exactly.

Most of these things have been mentioned on here before many times, but I wonder how many on here have considered:-

I don't recall that one having been mentioned before.
