Default Don't think I've ever moved so fast!

Just typed out a quote went to pop the email address in and somehow accidently selected an existing client and pressed send ...
Luckily the router is just across the room - ran over to it and unplugged all the cables frantically! Luckily it didn't send - phew!

Shame it wasn't filmed - I'd love to see that!

I've turned off "send emails instantly" just incase it happens again.

That's a very good idea! I'd advise people to set their email programs (if possible, if not you can install an app to do it) to leave a delay of 5-10 minutes before sending unless the email is really urgent. (although you might think it urgent, the recipient might have their email client to check for messages every 10mins, 30mins or even hourly so email isn't as "instant" as it's cracked up to be!). That way if you have second thoughts it's much easier to stop the email going out.

I even know of one app which blocks you from sending emails late at night and keeps them until the next day. The reason for this? If you've had a few drinks and you decide what a good idea it would be to tell your boss what you really think of him - you'll probably change your mind the next morning. If the email has already gone, well, good luck to you!!!

Not a bad idea... sometimes I'm in the mood for answering emails late at night after a gig and I often wonder if the person who receives my email thinks - what a nutter emailing me at 3am!

Sorry, but that is just being over cautious IMO. Email is immediate and that is the benefit of it. I really can't see the point of sending with a delay. Read what you have written and if it is OK, then send. Easy.

I tend to agree with you Darren. Except I have a nasty habit of remembering something important, just after I've clicked send. I then have to send a supplementary.
