Rave Revival
That new no1 (Duke Dumont - Need U 100) is bugging me.
I remember dancing in some club in the 80s to a tune similar to that.
Does anyone else think it sounds like some other track from the end of the 80s?
At first I thought it was Inner City and Good Life...
Think I will have to listen to my "In The Mix - Rave Revival" box set to find it.

Yes Lee, sound very similar to Big Fun
Seems the 90s is having a revival at the moment what with this reunion stuff and now the new No.1 with a 90s feel
I loved the 90s music

The 'rave revival' has been happening for quite a while in the underground scene.
A producer/DJ named MK (Mark Kinchen) remixed Nightcrawlers - Push the feeling (dub of doom)
He has been catapulted back into the scene and is doing very well using 80's/90's chords in his productions/remixes.
at first I thought it was a phase, but it's definitely not going away.... I'm really into this sound on a personal level, makes me feel younger!!!

Def get it ..... reminded me of the 80s dance stuff as soon as i heard it , unsure whether it's a good thing or not lol .... sick of the WillIAM style songs at the moment as everything sounds the same but do I really want to hear the 80s stuff again arrrrgh lol

I've been playing quite a bit of late 80s, early 90s stuff at functions over the past year to 18 months.
There have been tracks appearing on customers playlists and requested on the night that have been refreshing to play.
From the likes of Robin S, Nightcrawlers and De Lacy to SL2, Bizarre Inc and Altern 8 and then the likes of Five & Backstreet Boys... (ok, those last 2 examples aren't the best bands ever but they DO fill the floor for me).
It's the late 20, early 30 somethings that are all requesting this stuff as they revisit their youth. It's great.
I can just imagine IF I am still doing this in 20 years time, the same age group will be requesting classics from this era.....er, are there any??
