Auto pitch reset in Virtual DJ.
Have just upgraded to latest version of Virtual DJ on my laptop, which is running Window Vista, 2G RAM I think.
Have also just installed maps & drivers for a Reloop Beatmix controller, which is generally working OK from the limited amount I've played around with it so far.
I've noticed however, that when pitch is adjusted, the music plays fine as I slide the pitch controller on the Beatmix back to the centre, but if I click the little software button to automatically bring the pitch back to +/-0 that the sound quality becomes just awful for the duration of the process - sounds as if the track is warping/distorting.
Any ideas what's causing this? Is the laptop not coping, or do I need to adjust the soundcard/latency somehow?
I've also noticed that tracks (especially the wavs I use for backing tracks) are loading in chunks rather than smoothly appearing across the little waveform window.
Welcome any suggestions/solutions please.

Try the VDJ forums. There's a wealth of knowledge and help there and I'm sure you'll find an answer.

Disco Dude!
I always found it a tad too fast anyway so done it manually myself...

Couldn't find anything on VDJ forum under "pitch" at first - however found some general advice under sound quality thread.
Resolutionwas to set the ASIO to max (40ms?) in config>sound set up>ASIO config> (slidey bar).
Panic over - sounds 'sweet as' now. And the waveform loading is no longer an issue: turned off and uninstalled some bloatware. Boom. :-D
Might need to invest in a ground loop isolator however!

Probably the most effective few quid I've spent on equipment!
