Default DJ table and truss/overhead bars

Am thinking of getting a 6ft long dj table, combined with the overhead trusses/bars for the lights. Anyone got any personal experience of these please?? Any particular makes and models to look at?

    Any help much appreciated.

    Chris

All in 1 job then it has to be an Ultimax. Anything less will be inferior and frankly crap.

I had an ultimax for years, they are built to last and spares easily sourced. But with anything, quality costs but will pay for itself in the long term.

Thanks Andy. When you say you had an Ultimax - what happened to it?

I sold it some time ago. But without a doubt if I wanted another, an ultimate would be my only choice

Thanks Andy. Has anyone ever used any of the others? Any of the Rhino models maybe?

The price difference is not a great deal. Buy Ultimax. It lasts and you can get spares for it.

Yes. And when you get an Ultimax, you wonder why you ever bought the cheaper ones. Ultimax every time. Simples.
Excalibur. Older than the average DJ.

Ditto. I've got an Ultimax Overhead wind-up system and they also made be a custom build stand for my Chauvet Motion Facade cloth. Quality stuff. Wouldn'ty go anywhere else now.

Many thanks for the input - it's appreciated.

When I look at the specs of the ultima and the other ones, I see no difference?

Bolt 'em together side by side and then see if there's no difference. You can buy every part of an Ultimax separately, you can buy diferent length cross bars, which effectively gives different width stands, etc, etc, etc.

Every poster so far has voted for Ultimax, and yet you're still convinced that the cheap one is just as good. It isn't, my last word on the subject.
