Getting in touch
How many times do you contact a company before not getting a reply and losing faith?
I have sent a detailed email asking questions and then another one asking for an answer a week later. I then put a message on their Facebook page to which I got a reply 3 days later asking for a contact numer, which I gave them. That was Monday and I still haven't heard anything after leaving a message Tuesday asking when they were going to contact me and another one today.
Normally, I would have blown them out by now, but they produce a similar product which is half the cost of another company I was looking at.
I know someone is going to say ring them, but it's the point of principal here...

Suppose you're getting what you pay for in customer service!

It depends: if you're certain of the quality of the item being what you're after, and you're unlikely to ever need any ongoing support / customer service from them, then I'm more likely to try and get hold of them. However, if there's any doubt, or possibility of any on-going relationship, then I doubt I would have tried as much as you already have.

I think that has a huge bearing on it - if the price difference is vast, then yes, I would persevere. If there is a competitor who is in the same ballpark price-wise, then I have little patience, and will go with them.

Disco Dude!
If its who I think it is then it is worth bearing with their rather poor customers service.... (Didn't know they had a FB page).
Not good practice for what I'd call a service led industry like ours however for products if they are the same standard and the only difference is having to call them instead of email etc.. then I could deal with that...

He is a complete idiot and because I complained about his poor customer service, he called me arrogant. He got my name wrong, refused to answer any questions, said he didn't get my emails 'cos his system went down. He is thick and rude and I will be now going elsewhere to get a premium product and decent service.
I have never dealt with a company like them who couldn't answer an email within 10 days and could be bothered to ring me. He had enough time to send me rude emails but not to answer my questions or ring me.
"my book is full up, so I will be in contact soon" he said...
I don't think so..
Oh and he said "we only deal with nice people"
Charming..

Further to this, he has just rung and apologised....

...and I hope your reply was "Too little, too late. Bye!"

So for me, the question here would be is the saving worth the hassle and is the product something I can cope with having no follow up support on?
Yes, it's not great when companies are rubbish, but if I am saving £5000 then I might be able to cope with that.
For £5k I might even be able to cope with people calling me arrogant.
