Default Steampunk Convivials, Balls & other events

    You are cordially invited to:

    MARKFIELD BEAM ENGINE MUSEUM
    Markfield Road
    South Tottenham
    London N15 4RB

If anyone is at a loose end on Sunday & fancies doing something a bit different in aid of a good cause, I'm DJing at the above. Promises to be a fun day out. Bring a Picnic if you wish, there's plenty of room. Bring the kids (under 18s go free)

Loads going on, live music, silly games / races, stalls, Steampunk Morris Dancing, bar, on site cafe etc... Full details on the website: http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4...convivial.html

Be warned, my bit won't be your usual mobile disco (apart from the fact that it won't involve any dancing as it's primeraly for background music). I'll be playing Steampunk & Steampunk friendly artists, Victorian & Edwardian Music Hall songs, & other appropriate music (among other things)

From the Time Out feature on it in this week's issue (no, none of them are me) & the site map:

    Splendid!

If I get any good photos, I'll post them after the event

    Er.....

Steampunk, Steampunk, a bit more Steampunk, some Victorian Music Hall, Barrel Organ, Steam Organ, more Steampunk Chap-Hop, Steampunk, Steampunk, Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines, Steampunk.

Here you go (sorry about the quality,I think it's just about readable. I had to print the playlist from DDJMM & scan it). These were 3 lists that I put together in advance to give me time to have a wander around the site & toilet breaks etc...

Other tracks I can remember playing include:

The Men That Will Not Be Blamed For Nothing = Goggles / Steph(v)enson / Charlie / Brunel
    Abney Park = Sleep Isabella
Steam Powered Giraffe = Brass Goggles / Diamonds (Rihanna cover) / Clockwork Vaudeville
The Cog Is Dead = The Death of the Cog / Blood Sweat & Tears / Mechanical Menagerie
Marquis of Vaudville = The Nightmare Machine
Tom Slatter = The Engine That Played Through Their Honeymoon (Tom also played this live outside, I used it to gain interest for his set with the folks that were in the hall)
Mr.B The Gentleman Rhymer = Hail The Chap / Just Like A Chap / Nicknackatory
Professor Elemental = Everything Stops for Tea / I'm British
Dead Victorians = The Gay Velocipede / Slap Me Like a Native
Frenchy & the Punk = Steampunk Pixie
This Way To The Egress = Clarence
Ghostfire = The Last Steampunk Waltz
Cracked Monocle = Steampunk & I Know It
Sir Reginald Pikedevant, Esquire = Just Glue Some Gears On It (And Call It Steampunk)
Votaire = Death Death (Devil, Devil, Evil, Evil Song) / Vampire Club (Twilight version)

Looks interesting Steve. Mind you, certain things baffle me. Why were those Ladies in their bloomers attacking each other with baguettes?
And I don't think everyone was taking it seriously, I'm sure some were taking the pith.
Excalibur. Older than the average DJ.

Ask Morris. I believe he was dancing with them.

Received a message via FB from one of the stallholders:

"Steve Jones - you have great music, and make good company too!"

Feeling all warm & fuzzy now.
