to avoid leaving smaller items like headphones behind, I keep all these things in one flight case.
Mics, headphones, spare connectors, laptops external hard drive, notepads, pens etc are all in one case.

I once forgot the crossbars for my ultimax luckily was only about 5 minutes from home so went back and got them. been paranoid about forgetting something ever since.
When the world ends , ill probably have to clean up the mess.
I forget my belt once, my jeans stayed up but when I changed into my suit the trousers kept falling down, tried a DMX cable but it kept working loose. Pretty much did the gig one handed.

Last year I did a kids party in the afternoon followed by a Xmas party in the evening and I completely forgot my smart clothes. I ended up nipping into Tesco's for a pair of trousers, shirt and black shoes (total spend = £35.00!) but the only shirts they had were a bit baggy on me. Luckily no-one was any the wiser and Tesco's shirts don't look too bad straight out of the packet!

Not quite, but I wore a pair of 6 year old shoes that I found in the back of the cupboard one night that fell to pieces. Gaffa tape to the rescue but by the end of the night it was socks only as I had to save the repair for loading and driving home!
I once forgot to take with me the playlist that I had been given. Fortunately I rang home and got it faxed to the venue, only to be told by the B&G a bit later that not only had they changed their first dance (and brought the CD for me) but theyt weren't actually bothered what I played so not to take too much notice of the list. Aaaarrrggh!!!
