Ezekiel 25:17
Here's a quandary....
Most enquiry forms have a 'preferred method of contact' field.
When you get one that states 'by telephone' should you email first to ask when a suitable day and time is to call them?

I agree, just call them. Within 'business hours' though - not in the evening.
-
I try to stick to mid-morning, mid-afternoon and early evening (7-8pm) Chances of them being busy at 9am, midday and dinner time is fairly high..
Mind you, I ask if it's convenient to talk when I call.

That's why I think a brief email asking when it's convenient to call is OK - then you know when you do you haven't caught them unprepared and you have their undivided attention.

Hate phones never use them, but perhaps a text too arrange a time
to call if they prefer the phone as they many not be very internet savvy.
"Hi I am .... thanks for your enquiry, when would you like to call you back etc."
No reply then call them LOL.

Dinosaur
I usually ring landlines between 5 and 7pm, mobiles I may ring during the day. Complete guesswork though.

By phone as asked. They may not want you to email because it may be a surprise and the other person has access to their emails.

Surprise? More of a shock if its a wedding!
(good point though)

Maybe it's worth having something additional on the enquiry form if they state that their preferred method of contact is telephone.
Something along the lines of "Is there a preferred time to contact you?" or something worded better if you know what I mean?
