    Hi all.
Just a quick note on this venue, had a wedding there and while its a great middle sized room it has a dreaded sound limiter. I dont normally have a problem with these and this one is your standard box on the wall progressing through Green, Amber and then Red, too long on red and power goes off.
Thats fine, just watch it and make sure you trim the bass off a bit if it starts hitting the Red......Well you could if you could see it, its mounted behind the bar up by the ceiling and even kneeling on the floor where you are set up, walking in front of the gear, standing in the middle of the dance floor, you just can not see it. The only way to see it is to walk over the other side of the room to the bar.
Not a lot of good really as you just can not monitor the lights so its a case of keeping your fingers crossed or the volume set low as we all know how when the punters start singing........Off it goes

I did a venue once where the sound limiter monitor/box was actually on the wall in the hall! So it wasn't even in the same room! And it was a big pain in the backside as it went off a couple of times even though the music wasn't that loud. I had a word with the venue manager and asked him if there was any way to disable it as sudden loss of power to my system could cause damage and, as there was no way I could monitor it from the DJ booth, I'd be claiming any damages from the venue. He went in to the hall, came back in and said "Sorted!". Never had a problem after that!!

haven't been there for a while, never knew the had one... If I have the right venue was it the room that had a small balcony to set up on or the other room all on one level further down the club from the car park.

Yeah it was the room on one level opposite end to car park. Not sure how long they have had it but just a warning if you get one there.
Also not sure if it covers the room at the other end
