Default Help finding a midi controller

Hello been djing for 9 years now and currently djing in a bar. I'm looking to get a midi controller to work with virtual Dj. I have never used a midi controller before before but djing for 9 years workin with virtual Dj I have a good idea what you can do with them. Trouble is I don't know which one to get I have been looking at the pioneer ddj ergo v, looks smart and apparently aimed for beginners on midi's but looks like its aimed at bedroom dj's house party's etc. I haven't got a clue what to be looking for my budget is about £500 an want something that works well with virtual Dj so I use loops, samples etc.

Another question is what make should i be going for, is pioneer the best (I know there the most expensive!) but asking as its got a good a sound and looks durable. Let me know what you think I should start with, don't want anything to bedroom type midi....would even look at getting CD mixers that can be hooked up to virtual Dj

You're spoilt for choice nowadays. Best bet is to get into a dealer's shop and have a play. Because I like a four channel mixer, I went for the VMS 4.1 If two channels is enough, look at a Denon 3000. If you want to go cheaper, there are still many reliable ones available.
Excalibur. Older than the average DJ.
