It's only happened a few times (once whilst DJing) but I definitely don't mind telling someone to wind their neck in if they're really taking it. Obviously places like this are going to upcharge on drinks and I don't mind 99% of the time as it's just the way of the world but £4 for a draft Coke or £8 for a pint of Stella as one snidey club in Newcastle once tried to charge me? Get yourself son.
A ridiculously over priced one?
I can't even remember it's name. It was a bit out of the way up by the top end of the Brigg Market I think. One of those really pretentious names to make it sound like it's in somewhere exotic: Saphhire or Equinox or some cack like that.
Most I remember paying was £4.50 for a half of coke. My reply was it was just 1 wasn't it? Normal price around here is around £1.50 - £2.50.
When the world ends , ill probably have to clean up the mess.
I was actually thinking that as I typed, but thought it can't be a legal requirement as it's quite rare to see a price list in a pub these days.
Strange thing is that a supermarket can be hit with a big fine if they don't have a price on a product, and drinks prices in a pub are extremely static in comparison.
I believe you have to also provide alcoholic content as well as the measure in ml, which is part of the measures act.
It only has to be the main spirits and drinks with alcoholic content so coke would not come into it.
Hotels may come under a different jurisdiction to bars and clubs?
