    Default Video editing

Does anyone in here do any video editing.

I'm looking for a short clip editing. A few short clips added together with a few titles - it's not for disco but for another project I'm involved in.

    Cheers

    Steve

I have used Adobe Elements Premier 11.

I bought it with Photoshop at the start of the year for £58 for both.

I found it very easy to use. But so far have only used it for timelapse videos. Though I did manage to easily add two clips together.

You can get a trail version here: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/in...lements&loc=us

Windows Live Movie Maker will do the job with ease. Despite it being downloadable for free as part of the MS Live software pack it is really quite a capable piece of software.

Saying that, I've recently become interested movie editing and have recently purchased Sony Vegas Movie Studio which I'm currently trying to get to grips with. I've seen that entire commercial movies have been edited with this software. I got the older version 11 for economic reasons (ie - it was much cheaper than the latest version!!) and, whilst it's clearly a top-notch editing suite, it is a lot more difficult to get to terms with if you're used to Windows Movie Maker!!

I said it was cheap - under £20 on Amazon!!

I've tried several video editing suites over the years. Sony Vegas Pro, Adobe Premiere, Pinnacle Studio. Whilst Sony and Adobes versions are in-depth and have a lot of advanced features (some of which are really nice). My favourite yet has a very simplified interface and a very quick learning curve..... "AVS VIDEO EDITOR". So easy it's childs play. Despite paying out a premium on Adobe Premier I find myself using AVS for nearly all of my edits. It's cheap, very easy for even first time users...and the results for basic editing are pretty hard to beat.

Have a look into iMovie as well if you have a Mac. Great piece of software.
