A quick "Hi!" from VectisVibe
Hi Folks
I've taken a couple of years off the scene having moved from the North West down to the Isle of Wight and I've just relaunched the business.
Thanks to the high cost of ferry travel I'm pretty much landlocked (unless I get an offer I can't refuse) but there's a large tourist scene here over the summer months so hopefully rich pickings!
I'm all sorted with the initial audio config - couple of laptops running OTS Turntables and a twin CD deck for standby/backup, two amps, two bass bins and two 3-ways, radio mic and a mixer.
I kept all my music which was digitised anyway so I guess I need to buy the last half dozen copies of Now! and some of the chart dominators of this year and I'm away.
Need to sort out some lighting though... any recommendations for a budget setup max £500 to get me going? I already have stands, a old 4-way chaser (bulgin type) and a ropelight!
Looking forward to 'meeting' you guys and sharing experiences!

Has been covered a few times so have a search on the forum but personally i think you cant go wrong with
2x NJD datamoons + Controller £250
4x Dynamo Scans + Controller £319
Total Lighting Cost: £569.00
Slightly over budget by £69 BUT it would make a very impressive lighting show. Think you can get the datamoons a little cheaper too without the controller. Failing that have a look on ebay as you may be able to get the above slightly cheaper.

hi martin, ebay is always good, especially if u "refine the search" locally, with your post code to 25 miles, then u can pick up bargains...lol
