Default Want to make an extra £100 per night?

I charge an extra £100 to add a 45 minute singing performance to my night.

I took my a camcorder and filmed myself at Airth Castle on Sunday.
    Apologies for the camera angle.

It was quite an elderly crowd and suited them to be singing along instead of dancing.
I look forward to any comments and suggestions....

If anyone is interested in adding such a performance to their act I will be happy to advise.

    All the best

Yes, I would have to deduct £100 if I sang!

Good addition if you can do it though

If a singer is good - they wouldn't have to DJ
If a DJ is good - they shouldn't have to sing

Sorry but I think there is nothing worse than a DJ grabbing a microphone and belting out a few songs - in fact I gained a really good residency because the previous DJ done just that.

I'm glad to see these Lee as I've admired how frequently you're booked for a while.

I guess you're looking for criticique rather than flattery. I'll give these a full proper listen later, but my intial comments from a few minutes of some numbers watched on my phone would be:

    (1) the vocal seems quite dry - a touch more reverb perhaps? This may be down to the location of the camera - may have been fine in the house.
    (2) a couple of pars lighting you from side/front would make it more of a 'show'/focal point.
    (3) I like many of your vamps/interactions. Your enthusiasm is apparant, but you body language a bit defensive (diagonal/angled with shoulder to audience quite a lot from the bits I saw.)
    (4) I'm picking up a Michael Buble influence on the way you're very sparing with your sustain. Is this a deliberate style choice?
    (5) You seem to be struggling a little with some of the low notes in the verse of Sweet Caroline. Might be worth taking your BT up a semitone using Audacity or something?
    And, er,
    (6) Buy yourself a black handkerchief for mopping, dude. It's too nice a shirt. ;-) :-P

    And as an aside

    OUCH.
Without disrespect, as a Singer+DJ service myself, I can only disagree.
Apols if I've misunderstood your point, PP, but that strikes me a little like saying "XYZ can't be much of a DJ if he's got to distract everyone with uplighting and flashy dancefloors."

Smoke 'em if you got 'em, I say.
