    Default Where best for Subs

So, I acquired a second sub today (for a bargain price I may add... Probably worth giving it a gig or two before I decide if it is actually a bargain...)

In any case, I'm after your advice and opinions on positioning and set up.

Having run a 18 sub behind my equinox with two srm450s on tripods, what's the best way to incorporate the subs?

    1) stick another behind the stand, 450s as before?
    2) tops on poles into subs (would need poles and longer leads for this)
    3) subs flanking the booth, with a light on top, tops on tripods
    4) mystery choice number 4.

I have also previously been using the full range out of the sub into the tops as it sounded better I felt... Play it by ear now have 2?

Top hats with poles would be my choice.

    Two subjective thoughts:
    1) I like symetry.
    2) Although one purpose of subs is to take the strain off tops, and allow better definition, if it sounds better all run full, then it is better.

Subs should be next to each other on the floor.
This keeps the outputs in phase with each other.
Placing them away from each other causes phasing and cancellation of the bass at certain positions.
