Enquiries ;-)
Had 2 enquiries from this forum in the last week which is a first for a long time. One I was already booked and the other I haven't heard anything after my reply but nevertheless it was a welcome surprize. Have the mods revitalized the directory or is it just one of the coincidences of the interweb?

There's been no changes to the directory lately Theo. Glad to hear you've secured a booking from it.

You're absolutely right. I misread the post.

Two in a week Theo? It's a bit hectic further South, isn't it? If I take my shoes and socks off, I'll just let you know how many I've received in all the years I've been here.
Still counting......
Oops, got distracted doing " this little piggy "
Nearly there.....
And the grand total is: One. Ah well.

Nearly all my work comes from previous customers and contacts and recommendations and I don't generally find that I convert many enquiries from directory listings from any site (Needadisco, UK Disco, Yell, Find a dj etc, Thompson, Yellow Pages etc) but it was still a welcome surprise to get an enquiry via mobile disco directory. Probably the first in 12 months and then to get 2 in a week! I actually seem to remember the last one was actually from Darren doing an exercise to see how people replied to enquiries.

Yes one for me also Theo, the first one. But no response from her to email and phone call. Filed closed but nice all the same.

Best way to get gigs is to call yourself the "AAAAA disco"
This puts you at the top of the yellow pages list.
My disco was called the Rocking DJ disco.
When I put in my ad to yellow pages the second time I called "A Rocking DJ disco" and got many more enquires.
People are lazy and will often take the first number they come to in Yellow pages.
